Custom silicone open oval round rubber grommets can be developed for different cable passage outlines. The selected shape should match the actual cutout, including its end contours or radius, while the retaining region follows the supporting thickness. An open passage must also suit the routed component's dimensions and direction.
Check the perimeter as the grommet is fitted. An oval version needs attention at both ends, while a round version should seat evenly around its circumference. Avoid stretching one shape to occupy an opening designed for another. Remove burrs and debris before routing the cable through the installed part.
Choose the finished silicone formulation for the local environment and contact conditions. Assess the cable's natural bend so it does not lift one side of the grommet from the panel. During inspection, look for cuts at the cutout edge and rubbing inside the passage. Replace damaged parts with the corresponding profile rather than selecting only by the largest outside dimension or the appearance of the exposed face.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The selected shape should match the actual cutout, including its end contours or radius, while the retaining region follows the supporting thickness. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a through-hole or blind-hole profile, then compare the dimensions for your panel and cable arrangement.
