Product Overview

Suction cups for gripping system assemblies provide the contact between the end effector and the handled item. Custom silicone profiles can be developed around the workpiece surface and the available mounting positions. When several cups are used, their placement needs to support the object as a complete load.

Consider the workpiece's shape, center of gravity, and the direction in which it moves. Pickup points close together may leave a large area poorly supported, while points placed over seams or openings may not make suitable contact. The end-effector structure also needs to hold the cups at the intended alignment.

The selected cup geometry and compound should suit the surface texture, curvature, temperature, and any residue. Evaluate the full gripping cycle with the actual vacuum conditions, load, and acceleration. Adding cups does not automatically provide a simple multiplied load rating, because contact and load sharing can differ between positions. Check the system's response to the conditions required by its design. Keep cup lips clean and inspect them before use, replacing worn parts with matching profiles. Reassess the arrangement whenever the workpiece dimensions or finish change so the pickup remains coordinated with the actual object being handled.

Material options
Custom silicone compound; formulation and geometry developed together.
Hardness selection
Silicone options: 20–80 Shore A. When several cups are used, their placement needs to support the object as a complete load.
Custom geometry
Reassess the arrangement whenever the workpiece dimensions or finish change so the pickup remains coordinated with the actual object being handled.
Fit evaluation
Evaluate the full gripping cycle with the actual vacuum conditions, load, and acceleration.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; OEM markings outside the suction contact face.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
