Carbon pucks provide the contact elements used beneath keys in a silicone rubber keypad arrangement. Their custom size and shape should match the intended circuit contact area and the molded key geometry. The contact component needs to be evaluated as part of the complete keypad rather than as a loose piece alone.
Check the puck position, thickness, and relationship to the board when the key is relaxed and when it is pressed. The surrounding rubber and the enclosure determine the available travel. A contact placed off-center or held too close to the circuit can change operation even if the visible button looks correctly aligned.
Keep the contact surfaces clean during handling and assembly. Avoid contaminating them with oils, dust, or an unsuitable adhesive. Test the complete interface after the housing is secured, checking both successful input and release. Electrical requirements belong to the particular keypad and circuit design; the term carbon contact does not establish a universal resistance or operating life. Inspect the molded assembly and its seating if operation changes after the device has been opened or reassembled.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
