A soft silicone pad can provide a compliant layer beneath a component or at a designed contact stop. Its thickness and footprint should suit the force applied through it, with enough surrounding room for the intended deformation. A very soft pad squeezed into a confined space may spread toward features that need to remain clear.
Define where the load contacts the pad and how the opposite face is supported. Broad contact and a narrow point produce different local compression, even with the same overall load. Choose the silicone formulation for the actual temperature and substances present around the assembly.
Position the pad so it cannot drift into an adjacent opening during use. Check the loaded assembly for clearance and assess any cushioning requirement under the relevant movement rather than from softness alone. During inspection, look for permanent flattening, cut edges, or a shape that no longer fills the intended gap. If damage repeatedly appears at one point, examine the contacting hardware for a sharp feature or concentrated load before fitting the next pad.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
