A thin rubber gasket needs a clean, flat seat because it has limited thickness available to accommodate the designed compression. A particle or surface defect can become a significant local feature compared with the section. The silicone washer configuration should therefore be selected around the actual mating faces rather than expected to bridge an uncontrolled gap.
Check the outline, central opening, and supported contact width. Select the formulation for the medium and temperature involved. The closing arrangement should keep the thin material located without dragging it sideways as fasteners engage.
Lay the gasket flat and inspect for folds before bringing the faces together. Avoid rotating hardware directly against an unrestrained edge if that would twist the part. During disassembly, look for wrinkles, cuts, or localized flattening that correspond to surface features. Replace with the intended thickness and correct damaged mating faces rather than stacking thin layers, which introduces additional interfaces and changes the joint's original closing condition.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
