Mini rubber body plugs close small openings in a body panel or housing with a compact molded component. NBR, FKM, and silicone are material options that can be considered for different exposure conditions. Their availability does not make them interchangeable: the chosen compound should remain associated with the intended location and operating environment.
Compact plugs leave little room for an oversized retaining feature. Define the opening, panel thickness, and space behind it before selecting the head and body proportions. The installed head should cover the opening as intended while the retaining section reaches its seat. Check whether adjacent trim or hardware will obstruct installation once the rest of the assembly is complete.
During fitting, direct pressure through the designed face and keep tools away from thin edges. A small plug can be damaged easily if it is gripped at the wrong point during removal. Inspect both sides where accessible, and maintain the correct variant when replacing parts across several similar openings. Surface color can aid identification, but material and body geometry should govern the replacement choice.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The installed head should cover the opening as intended while the retaining section reaches its seat. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
