Match the attachment and installation method
A soft silicone rubber plug provides a flexible closure for a matching opening. Its custom dimensions can accommodate the required insertion depth, exposed head, and method of removal. EPDM, NBR, and Viton are also material options for stopper designs, with the appropriate compound selected for the actual contact conditions rather than treated as an interchangeable blend.
Softness affects how the plug enters the hole, but the engagement profile determines whether it stays seated. A thin wall around the receiving opening may provide less support than a deep bore. The plug should enter without shaving its edge and should not need to be stretched excessively across an oversized opening.
For regular removal, leave a practical gripping area outside the seat. Keep that area accessible after neighboring parts are installed. Select the compound with the fluid, temperature, and cleaning method in mind. A fit check should include insertion, retention, and removal in the real opening. Examine the engaging surface for nicks or an altered shape whenever the stopper is taken out for servicing.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A thin wall around the receiving opening may provide less support than a deep bore. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
