A rubber seal ring in electronic equipment can be displaced when the enclosure is opened for repair. Components that were originally routed beside the seal may move into its path during servicing. The custom ring should return to the same seating arrangement before the housing is closed again.
Look around the full perimeter with the internal assembly restored. A cable trapped over the ring can prevent local contact, while a connector or board edge can push the rubber outward as the cover descends. Keeping the ring in its groove is only part of the task; the internal route must also remain clear.
Follow the equipment's closing sequence and inspect the accessible perimeter before the last fasteners are secured. The selected material must suit the enclosure's actual exposure, but it cannot correct interference from another part. Any required ingress performance is evaluated on the finished equipment. If the enclosure behaves differently after repair, examine the restored cable route and cover seating along with the seal, rather than assuming the original rubber has suddenly become unsuitable.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. A cable trapped over the ring can prevent local contact, while a connector or board edge can push the rubber outward as the cover descends. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
