Product Overview

Custom expansion bellows need an installed neutral position that leaves room for the movement required by the assembly. Silicone and NBR are material options for this rubber dust-cover form, selected according to the environment. The folded body should be developed with its end connections and surrounding clearance.

Measure the separation and alignment of the mounting points before the mechanism moves. Installing the bellows already stretched or compressed can consume travel needed during operation. The ends should reach their intended seats without twisting the folds to make the connections line up.

Evaluate the complete motion after fitting, watching for rubbing against nearby hardware and local crowding of the folds. Choose the compound for the actual temperature and substances. During maintenance, clean the fold valleys and inspect transitions into the end sections. A replacement should match the neutral position, working range, and mounting profiles so that the dust cover follows the original movement instead of being forced into an approximately suitable space.

Material options
Custom silicone or NBR formulation; select the compound alongside the mating geometry.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A; solid rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Installing the bellows already stretched or compressed can consume travel needed during operation.
Custom geometry
The folded body should be developed with its end connections and surrounding clearance.
Fit evaluation
Evaluate the complete motion after fitting, watching for rubbing against nearby hardware and local crowding of the folds.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; identification clear of folds and end connections.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
