Product Overview

A rubber cable seal grommet with a long sleeve surrounds an extended section of the cable beyond its entry point. The sleeve should follow the cable's intended direction without becoming a lever that pulls the retaining portion away from the opening. Nearby routing and support positions are therefore part of the fit evaluation.

ETOL can customize the sleeve length, passage, material and hardness. Compare the profile with the actual cable and the space available after the enclosure is complete. Leave the cable enough freedom to follow its permitted bend without folding the rubber sharply at one end.

During assembly, position the cable supports before judging the final sleeve shape. Examine both the extended section and the entry contact after the cable reaches those supports. Any sealing function should be evaluated in that completed arrangement. If the sleeve leans strongly to one side during servicing, inspect the route and attachment points before replacing it; another sleeve may be subjected to the same load if the routing issue remains.

Material options
Custom rubber compound and color, selected for the contact conditions and required geometry.
Hardness range
30–90 Shore A for rubber. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: Leave the cable enough freedom to follow its permitted bend without folding the rubber sharply at one end.
Custom profile & fit
Compare the profile with the actual cable and the space available after the enclosure is complete.
Assembly considerations
Nearby routing and support positions are therefore part of the fit evaluation.
Design check
Any sealing function should be evaluated in that completed arrangement.

Review the intended assembly

Working conditions

Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.

Material and structure

Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.

Installation

Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
