A custom shock-absorber with metal screw needs its connection selected alongside the rubber working section. The receiving thread, engagement length, and available space define how it attaches. The molded body should then suit the load and movement established for the equipment.
Check whether the screw can reach its intended position without contacting another component behind the mounting surface. The rubber face also needs sufficient support where force enters it. A matching thread does not establish that two bodies of different height or width will behave equivalently.
Choose the compound for the actual temperature and substances around the mount. Install using the specified hardware method without twisting the rubber to drive the connection. Evaluate the full assembly under its normal conditions, including any nearby parts that restrict movement. During maintenance, inspect the screw attachment and flexible section together. Replace with the required thread and molded geometry so that the original mounting position and working clearance are maintained.
