A soft rubber gasket should receive enough controlled compression to form its intended contact without being pushed out of the seat. Softness can help the material conform within a designed joint, but it cannot establish water resistance on its own. The mating faces, selected compound, and available closing gap all belong in the complete assessment.
Check the gasket or washer dimensions around the supported sealing area. Keep openings clear and avoid leaving narrow sections suspended over a recess. Choose the formulation for the actual water conditions, temperature, and cleaning exposure.
Place the gasket flat and bring the faces together evenly. Inspect for a folded edge or material spreading beyond the support as fasteners engage. Evaluate the completed connection under the relevant water exposure. During maintenance, compare flattening across the contact path and examine the mating surfaces for defects. A thicker or softer replacement should not be used automatically to conceal an uneven closing face that can continue to load the seal incorrectly.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Softness can help the material conform within a designed joint, but it cannot establish water resistance on its own. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
