Match the attachment and installation method
A mushroom shaped rubber plug combines a broader head with a narrower insertion portion. The head covers the opening from the visible side while the lower profile provides the intended engagement. These features have separate dimensions, so head diameter alone cannot establish the correct hole fit.
Check the panel or receiving wall thickness and the clearance beneath the opening. The insertion section should sit as designed without meeting an internal obstruction before the head reaches its intended position. A curved head may also project above the surface, which matters near covers or moving parts.
Fit into a smooth opening and inspect the head around its edge for a tilted or incomplete seat. The mushroom outline does not establish a pressure seal or a particular retention force. For removal, use the intended grip area without levering a sharp tool against the rubber. Inspect the transition beneath the head during servicing, since repeated pulling can damage that narrower area before the visible top surface shows obvious wear.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The head covers the opening from the visible side while the lower profile provides the intended engagement. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
