Match the attachment and installation method
Custom mushroom expandable rubber plugs combine a wider exposed head with a retained body. The head can provide a seating reference and a handling area, while the body must suit the opening and the selected engagement method. Those features should be dimensioned together so the closure fits without leaving the head distorted.
Check the surface surrounding the hole for enough room beneath the head. A nearby step or curved face can hold one side up even when the body has entered the opening. The internal depth also needs to suit the plug so another feature does not stop insertion prematurely. Custom material, size, hardness and color options can follow these requirements.
Use the intended fitting method and inspect the full head perimeter afterward. Do not treat a flush head as the only evidence that the retained portion is correctly engaged. Evaluate any required sealing or holding behavior in the real assembly. For removal, use the available head area without tearing a narrow edge. A split beneath the head should be addressed before repeated handling separates the gripping region from the body.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
