A rubber sealing washer should be located by the joint rather than held in place only by temporary friction during assembly. The center feature, face support, and outer clearance determine whether it stays on the intended contact band as the faces close. A silicone gasket with a different outline may require separate locating features.
Define thickness and supported width around the opening. Select the formulation for the actual medium, temperature, and repeated service conditions. Check shoulders or recesses that can cause the washer to rest unevenly before compression begins.
Place the part flat and bring the adjoining component down without dragging the rubber sideways. Inspect for a displaced edge where access allows. During maintenance, compare any off center wear with the locating geometry. Correct a loose or mismatched seat before replacement instead of choosing a washer with a smaller bore solely to make it grip, since stretching the part changes its contact section and may disturb the seal elsewhere.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
