Product Overview

Custom soft rubber silicone washers provide a flexible sealing layer for a defined joint. Their softness should be considered together with the support available around the sealing area. The inner opening and outside boundary need to follow the mating surfaces so the rubber remains in its intended position as the joint closes.

Check for gaps beside either edge that could receive displaced material. A soft washer should not be expected to compensate for an unsupported or poorly aligned seat. The thickness needs to suit the planned compression and final position of the adjoining parts. Evaluate the completed assembly under the actual contact conditions.

Choose the silicone formulation for the medium, temperature, and care process. Before fitting, remove debris from the sealing faces and position the washer without folds. During service, inspect for cuts or material pushed beyond the intended outline. A replacement should preserve the specified profile rather than use extra softness or thickness to hide a problem in the surrounding joint geometry.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
