Product Overview

An electric wiring harness grommet in a blind version closes an entry that is not occupied by wiring in the current assembly. This can help a common enclosure accommodate different wiring configurations while keeping the unused cutout covered by a fitted rubber component.

Define the closed version separately from a harness pass-through. Its center should remain intact for the blanking role, and the mounting profile should match the panel thickness and opening shape. Do not assume that cutting the blind center later will create a suitable harness seal or a controlled cable passage.

ETOL customizes dimensions, shape, material, color and hardness. A recognizable color can distinguish configuration options during production, alongside the physical fit check.

Inspect the seating before inaccessible internal parts are fitted. Keep loose wires from becoming trapped beneath the flange during enclosure closure. If the configuration changes, use the corresponding entry design and check the new harness route so its weight and movement do not pull against the panel opening.

Material options
Custom rubber compound and color, selected for the contact conditions and required geometry.
Hardness range
30–90 Shore A for rubber. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: If the configuration changes, use the corresponding entry design and check the new harness route so its weight and movement do not pull against the panel opening.
Custom profile & fit

Round Grommet Size Catalog

Choose a profile to compare part numbers and dimensions. Inch and metric sizes are listed in separate tables.

Type D Round Grommets in Inches

274 entries for Type D round through-hole grommets. Original fractions are retained, and exactly equivalent standard inch fractions replace decimal values where possible. Other values remain decimal inches.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
