Product Overview

An equipment silicone keypad provides a custom elastomer control surface for an equipment panel. It can be developed as a larger array, a compact group, or an individual key format. The key layout, molded dimensions, and markings should correspond to the functions and the available enclosure space.

Begin with the operating sequence and the normal viewing position. Controls used together need a clear relationship, while less frequent functions should remain accessible without crowding the primary keys. Panel edges and nearby features can change the approach to a button, so the complete installed panel belongs in the fit review.

Marking options include silkscreen printing, raised or recessed details, and color-filled legends. Keep essential symbols within the visible area of each key after the keypad is fitted. The selected colors should support those markings and the surrounding equipment design.

The mechanical interface needs to match the internal switching arrangement. Check key movement with the enclosure fastened and include presses at the edges of larger keys. The sheet should remain correctly seated without one region being pulled out of position. During service, preserve that support layout and keep the underside clean before refitting. The complete control assembly establishes its environmental protection and operating behavior.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
