Product Overview

A Flange Rubber Gasket creates a flexible sealing layer between flange faces. The black FKM option should be selected for the actual medium and temperature, while the gasket outline, passage and fastening locations must match the flange geometry. The visible color does not identify an equivalent replacement material.

Inspect the seating faces and the support available around the passage. A gasket should not extend into an unsupported gap or obstruct an opening when the joint is aligned. Position the fastening holes without stretching the rubber, and check that any locating feature is used as intended.

Follow the specified assembly procedure for the joint so the gasket is brought into its working condition consistently across the flange. Uneven closure can pinch one region while leaving another inadequately seated. A material hardness choice cannot correct a warped face or mismatched hardware.

Evaluate the completed seal under the conditions intended for the flange. During service, make the assembly safe before opening and examine the full gasket surface. Extrusion near a passage, a torn fastening area or a strongly uneven compression pattern can identify a local support problem. Clean the faces and correct the cause before installing a new gasket. Preserve the evaluated FKM compound and geometry when replacing the part, and reassess the selection if the process medium or operating conditions change.

Material options
FKM. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Extrusion near a passage, a torn fastening area or a strongly uneven compression pattern can identify a local support problem.
Custom dimensions
Position the fastening holes without stretching the rubber, and check that any locating feature is used as intended.
Fit & assembly
Inspect the seating faces and the support available around the passage.
Use & inspection
During service, make the assembly safe before opening and examine the full gasket surface.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
