Product Overview

A transparent washer can be developed as a flexible sealing component around a specified joint. Its thin or narrow sections should be handled in a way that preserves their outline, even when tear resistance is a priority in material selection. Pulling the part to inspect it can itself introduce distortion or damage.

Choose the silicone or other selected rubber formulation for the medium and service conditions, then define the washer profile around the supported contact area. Transparency and a general tear-resistant description do not establish a quantified mechanical rating for the finished part.

Inspect the washer on a suitable surface before fitting, checking its perimeter and bore without stretching them. Place it so the intended face lies flat and remains clear of sharp locating features. During disassembly, release the washer carefully from the mating surface instead of pulling it from one small edge. If the part tears at a repeated location, examine the corresponding hardware and removal method before substituting another material in the same geometry.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Choose the transparent washer flexibility with its annular section supported; compare compression and release without pulling from one small edge.
Custom dimensions
Coordinate washer bore, outside perimeter and section thickness with the mating surface, preserving enough supported contact around the opening.
Fit & assembly
If the part tears at a repeated location, examine the corresponding hardware and removal method before substituting another material in the same geometry.
Use & inspection
Pulling the part to inspect it can itself introduce distortion or damage.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
