Product Overview
A food grade silicone grommet can be customized for a panel opening that needs a nonstandard protective profile. Its flexible boundary separates a cable from the cut edge, while the outer shape follows the surrounding assembly. The selected silicone formulation must suit the intended food contact, where applicable, and the cleaning conditions.
For a custom shape, review the perimeter for places where residue could collect. Narrow corners and closely spaced neighboring hardware can make an otherwise correct fit difficult to clean. Give the retaining edge enough room to sit naturally and remain accessible during maintenance.
ETOL can adjust dimensions, structure, hardness and color. Choose the passage around the finished cable profile and the groove around the panel thickness. If the cable bends immediately after exiting, provide suitable clearance so it does not lift one portion of the flange. After cleaning or servicing, check the same contact area for displacement and trapped residue. Replacing the grommet should preserve the nonstandard details that control fit rather than substitute a roughly similar standard outline.
