A Hard Rubber Washer should be selected around the contact and compression required by the assembly. Firmness alone does not establish the correct fit: the washer still needs a suitable center opening, supporting footprint and available assembled thickness.
Rubber washers can be cut or molded using compounds chosen for the particular medium and temperature. A colored silicone version should be assessed for its own formulation and joint requirements rather than assumed equivalent to another firm rubber simply because the outline matches.
Place the washer on a clean seat and keep it centered as the mating parts close. Inspect whether the whole intended area is supported or whether contact is concentrated along a ridge. Follow the joint's specified assembly condition and evaluate its required function. During maintenance, compare the washer's contact impression with the mating surfaces. A localized deep mark can identify an alignment or surface issue. Correct that condition before replacement, and do not use additional tightening to make a hard washer fill a gap outside its designed compression.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
