Product Overview

A custom rubber sealing gasket can take the form of a colored O-ring or washer, depending on the joint it serves. These forms have different cross sections: an O-ring occupies a groove or defined sealing space, while a flat washer lies between supporting faces. The chosen geometry should follow the mating components before color or other identification is added.

For a ring, establish the free inside diameter and section size together with the groove. For a washer, establish both diameters and the thickness remaining within the closed joint. A similar outside diameter does not make these two forms interchangeable, because the rubber must deform within different surrounding spaces.

Color can distinguish material or size variants during assembly when it is tied to a consistent part specification. Select the compound for the contacting medium, cleaning method and operating conditions. Keep identifying features outside the active sealing surface, and fit the part without twisting or folding it. When replacing an existing seal, compare its defined original dimensions rather than copying a worn or permanently compressed shape.

Material options
Rubber. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. A similar outside diameter does not make these two forms interchangeable, because the rubber must deform within different surrounding spaces.
Custom dimensions
For a ring, establish the free inside diameter and section size together with the groove.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
