Product Overview

Custom thick washers in SBR or NBR provide a defined rubber section for a circular sealing interface. The compounds are alternative material choices, selected around the actual medium and environment. The washer thickness must also suit the joint's closing distance and the support available around its edges.

Assess the installed arrangement with the intended mating parts. A thick washer can change the final gap and the amount of fastener engagement, so the loose dimensions do not tell the whole story. The rubber should receive controlled compression without being squeezed into an unsupported space. The central opening needs to remain aligned with any passage or locating feature.

Keep material versions identified during assembly and replacement. A matching black appearance or similar softness does not establish equivalent behavior between SBR and NBR. Clean the seat before fitting and inspect for damage at the inner edge after removal. If the previous part was displaced, review the joint support and closing method instead of selecting a thicker washer to conceal the problem.

Material options
NBR / SBR. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. If the previous part was displaced, review the joint support and closing method instead of selecting a thicker washer to conceal the problem.
Custom dimensions
The central opening needs to remain aligned with any passage or locating feature.
Fit & assembly
A thick washer can change the final gap and the amount of fastener engagement, so the loose dimensions do not tell the whole story.
Use & inspection
Clean the seat before fitting and inspect for damage at the inner edge after removal.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
