Custom silicone rubber mounts should be developed around the interface between the rubber body and the supporting assembly. Where a bonded or metal-associated construction is required, the actual geometry and attachment need definition as part of the selected design rather than being inferred from a brief product label.
Choose the material and profile for the local exposure and required movement. Check the supported areas and neighboring clearances so the rubber can respond within the intended space. The complete assembly must be evaluated for any load or damping requirement.
During installation, follow the designated fastening or locating method and inspect for a twisted body or unintended edge contact. During maintenance, examine the attachment interface as carefully as the exposed rubber. Movement, separation or damage at that location can change behavior before a large surface split appears. Preserve the selected construction in replacements and correct damaged mating hardware before a new mount is installed into the same position.
