An NBR o-ring should remain identified by its selected compound when used beside Viton or other seal materials. The same diameter can be available in several formulations, but those options need to be matched to their actual service conditions. A ring selected only because it fits the groove may change the intended response to the medium or temperature.
Check the section size, installed stretch, and support provided by the groove. Include movement and pressure direction where relevant. The fitting route should let the rubber reach its seat without damage from threads or sharp shoulders.
Keep replacement versions separated during maintenance and inspect the old ring before discarding it. Cuts or extrusion can point to an assembly feature that needs correction, while a changed surface or shape may prompt a review of exposure. Install the specified ring untwisted on clean surfaces and assess the complete joint under its operating conditions. Do not use a material substitution as a general remedy for an unresolved geometry problem.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
