Match the attachment and installation method
A BIIR rubber cover can be developed as a compact molded closure with dimensions and hardness suited to its mating part. The 14.4 mm designation helps identify this option, while the complete cover profile establishes how it engages. EPDM is another material choice associated with this product; the appropriate compound depends on the operating environment.
Start by locating the functional surface on the part being covered. Its diameter, engagement height, and any step beneath the edge define more of the fit than a single nominal number. A cover designed around an outside rim should not be selected as though it were a plug entering a bore.
If the assembly has several similar closures, custom color can help distinguish positions or material versions. Keep that visual identification consistent with the actual component specification. During fitting, press around the cover evenly and make sure its edge has not turned under. Remove deposits from the mating surface during maintenance, and examine the cover for changes in shape before reinstalling it.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A cover designed around an outside rim should not be selected as though it were a plug entering a bore. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
