Oval EPDM rubber grommets require room around the panel cutout as well as space inside it for cables. The outside flange extends beyond the retained outline, so a nearby screw, rib or second opening can obstruct a part whose groove otherwise matches correctly.
Check the full flange footprint on both sides of the panel. The hidden side may have less room than the visible face because of hardware or a return edge. Keep sufficient supporting material between adjacent openings rather than letting two flanges overlap and hold one another away from the panel.
Choose the long and short axes together with that clearance. A larger passage is useful only if the complete outer profile can still seat. Select the EPDM formulation for the actual environment at the entry.
Fit the grommet before access becomes restricted by nearby components where the assembly sequence permits. Inspect the regions nearest the hardware after routing the cable. If the flange repeatedly lifts at the same location, check the surrounding envelope before changing hardness or forcing the lip back into a space it cannot occupy.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The outside flange extends beyond the retained outline, so a nearby screw, rib or second opening can obstruct a part whose groove otherwise matches correctly. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a through-hole or blind-hole profile, then compare the dimensions for your panel and cable arrangement.
133 sizes with an open passage for cables. Match the outside dimensions, opening, panel hole, panel thickness and overall thickness. Dimensions are in millimeters (mm).

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
