Closed rubber grommets can be custom shaped for receiving openings that need a defined blanking interface. The outer profile locates the part, while an intact center closes the opening. If a cable route is required, the center configuration needs to be designed for that role rather than improvised after fitting.
Check the opening shape, finished wall thickness, and available depth behind the panel. A special profile may need to clear nearby hardware or follow an irregular seating area. The retaining edge should remain supported without bunching or lifting at a change in shape.
Fit the grommet into a clean, smooth opening and inspect the entire perimeter. Keep the closed center intact while it performs its blanking function. For a wired version, establish the correct passage and assembly sequence before the cable is introduced. Select the material for the actual environment and inspect the rubber during service for cuts or permanent deformation. A replacement should preserve the special profile so the original seating and clearance are maintained.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The retaining edge should remain supported without bunching or lifting at a change in shape. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
