Rubber feet for industrial use should fit their attachment area without sharp hardware bearing against a vulnerable edge. Tear resistance depends on the selected formulation and geometry, while a poorly supported fastener can still create a starting cut. The mounting arrangement therefore matters alongside the rubber material.
Check the receiving face, screw area and underside contact before installation. The foot should remain seated as the equipment is repositioned, without the attachment dragging one thin section across a sharp edge. Any supported-load requirement needs evaluation in the complete equipment arrangement.
During routine care, inspect around the fastening feature as well as the floor-facing surface. Small cracks near a screw or washer may be less visible than underside wear but can affect retention. Replace a damaged foot and address the contact that initiated the tear before fitting another. Keep the intended height and mounting geometry so the replacement does not leave the equipment supported unevenly or allow a rigid fixing to touch the surface below.
