A sealing gasket O-ring closes a suitably designed joint through contact between its rubber section and the mating surfaces. For water or oil exposure, the selected compound must suit the actual fluid and service conditions. A general water-proof or oil-proof label does not establish compatibility with every medium or pressure.
Match the ring's internal diameter and cross-section to the receiving groove. The available space needs to allow the intended compression without pinching the rubber or leaving it free to move out of position. A damaged groove edge can compromise an otherwise suitable ring during assembly.
Fit the O-ring without twisting it and keep particles away from its contact surfaces. Evaluate the complete joint under its intended conditions rather than judging sealing performance from a dry hand fit. When dismantling, inspect both the ring and its seat. Replace a cut or permanently distorted ring, and address damage to the mating surface before fitting another component into the same joint.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
