Oil-resistant rubber grommets can be developed for nonstandard cable passages where the compound must suit contact with a particular fluid. The oil type and conditions matter: a generic resistance description does not define compatibility with every lubricant or mixture used around machinery.
Identify whether the rubber sees occasional splashes, persistent deposits or another exposure pattern. Include the local temperature and the cleaning substances used to remove residue. The required material should be selected for that combination while the groove and bore are matched to the panel and cable.
ETOL can customize the shape and hardness where the entry does not use a standard profile. A sample trial should examine both mechanical seating and the rubber's condition after representative exposure. Swelling or a lasting shape change can affect fit even if the part remains visibly present in the opening.
During installation, keep the panel edge free of burrs and do not use an unapproved lubricant simply to make insertion easier. Inspect the inner passage and flange when cleaning the equipment. If the grommet softens, loosens or cracks unexpectedly, review the material and exposure rather than selecting a replacement solely by dimensions. Preserve the approved compound when ordering a revised nonstandard shape so the geometry change does not introduce an unintended material substitution.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The required material should be selected for that combination while the groove and bore are matched to the panel and cable. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
