Product Overview

A silicone keypad for printed circuit board use needs the molded operating positions to correspond to the board layout. The button faces, underside geometry, and locating features should be developed together. Custom size, hardness, color, and identification options allow the control layer to suit the finished device.

Use the board and enclosure references to establish the keypad position. The rubber should settle onto those references without being stretched between them. Button height and flexible support then determine how a press reaches the intended mechanism or contact beneath the face.

Plan legends for the actual touch surfaces. Screen printing, raised or recessed identification, and color-filled details offer different visual treatments, but their placement should preserve readability and comfortable operation. Evaluate the finished layout in the assembled housing.

During fitting, keep the underside clean and make sure every button is free within its opening. Check individual presses, release after a hold, and transitions between adjacent controls. The common base should remain located during those actions. When servicing requires removal, preserve the orientation and seating features before rechecking the complete interface after assembly.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
