Product Overview

A rectangle silicone flat gasket provides a shaped contact between mating surfaces. A foam version should be chosen around the closed gap and the support available along the rectangular boundary. Custom dimensions and material details allow the part to follow the assembly rather than rely on a general sheet thickness alone.

Measure the space when the mating parts reach their intended position. Foam compression can make the working thickness quite different from the free thickness, and the gasket must have enough room to deform without being pushed out of the joint. Keep the long sides and corner regions supported on the sealing land.

Fit the gasket without pulling it diagonally to align holes or corners. Bring the mating faces together in the intended manner and inspect for a trapped or folded edge. Select the silicone and foam construction for the actual temperature, contact and cleaning conditions. During servicing, compare the compressed shape with the original fit. Persistent flattening or local damage may indicate excessive loading or uneven support that should be corrected before another gasket is installed.

Material options
Silicone and foam rubber options, with the rectangular outline and material structure specified for your joint.
Hardness selection
For the foam version, 35–45 Shore C provides an intermediate selection reference. Softer 20–30 Shore C options require review of corner support and the closed gap. Solid silicone: 20–80 Shore A.
Custom dimensions
Set the rectangle, openings and thickness around the supported sealing land; keep the long sides located as the gap closes.
Fit & assembly
Do not pull the gasket diagonally to reach the corners. Check for folds when the mating faces meet.
Use & inspection
Compare flattening along the straight sides with the corners during servicing; resolve uneven support before fitting another gasket.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
