A Rubber cable insulation sleeve surrounds the cable at an entry point to help keep its covering away from a hard panel edge. The sleeve is customizable in shape, size, compound, hardness and color, allowing the protective passage to be tailored to the wiring layout.
Start with an intact cable jacket. A sleeve should not conceal damaged primary insulation or be used as an unqualified repair for an exposed conductor. The product information does not specify a voltage withstand rating, so electrical insulation requirements remain a separate part of the cable and equipment design.
Check the way the rubber contacts the panel and the cable. Excessive compression may distort the passage, while a loose fit can leave the cable moving against the entry. If moisture exclusion is required, both contact areas need evaluation in the finished arrangement; no ingress rating is stated for this page.
Before closing the enclosure, inspect the entire sleeve length for folds and trapped wires. Keep cable labels, tie ends and connector edges from bearing against its wall. A final view from the outside can reveal an entry lip that has been displaced during internal wiring work.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The sleeve is customizable in shape, size, compound, hardness and color, allowing the protective passage to be tailored to the wiring layout. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
