Rubber feet for step ladder applications should match the specific ladder rail and its intended floor contact. Furniture or chair bumpers have different mounting and loading conditions, so each use needs a separately developed configuration. A similar visible cap shape does not establish interchangeability.
Custom material, dimensions, hardness and color allow the foot to follow the product. For a ladder, define the rail profile, insertion depth and contact angle in its fully opened working position. The cap should remain attached during carrying and folding as well as use.
Inspect rail ends for sharp edges before fitting and check the complete ladder for proper seating at every support point. Evaluate stability under the ladder's intended use conditions. Keep soles free of grit and inspect for splits or uneven wear before use. For furniture versions, assess the corresponding leg fit and floor finish separately. If one position wears repeatedly at an edge, review its angle and seating rather than transferring a thicker foot from another application without evaluating the complete fit.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
