Match the attachment and installation method
A rubber foot with steel washer insert combines a rubber floor-contact body with an internal metal element at the fixing area. The custom geometry should match the chair leg and intended attachment, with the washer positioned as part of that assembly. The insert does not remove the need to select the correct fastener and support profile.
Check the relationship between the washer opening, screw, and receiving leg. The fastening length must secure the foot without protruding through the rubber contact surface or bottoming out too early. The chair's load should reach the foot through the intended supported area rather than an edge that cuts into the rubber.
The base shape also needs to suit the leg angle so the chair rests evenly. Fit the foot onto a clean, undamaged mounting point and tighten according to the attachment design without excessively distorting the rubber. Inspect the complete chair for rocking and movement at the feet. During care, remove grit from the floor-contact surface and check for wear near the fixing. Replace the foot if the rubber becomes damaged or the insert is exposed where it could contact the floor. A steel washer is a construction detail, not a standalone load rating for the finished chair support.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The insert does not remove the need to select the correct fastener and support profile. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
