Product Overview

A rubber heat exchanger gasket follows a defined sealing path within a heat exchanger assembly. Its outline and locating details must match the relevant mating surfaces so the gasket remains in place as the equipment is assembled. Similar overall dimensions do not establish that two gasket patterns route and separate the same passages.

Select the compound for the fluids, temperatures and cleaning conditions on the relevant sides of the joint. The fact that a gasket is made from silicone or another rubber family does not define its suitability for every exchanger duty. Material and geometry should be evaluated together against the equipment requirements.

During replacement, follow the exchanger's service and isolation procedure. Remove the old gasket without damaging the seating area, and inspect that area before placing the new part. Ensure each locating feature is engaged and that the rubber has not crossed a passage or folded at a change in direction.

Use the specified assembly sequence and compression conditions for the exchanger. Extra tightening is not a substitute for the correct gasket profile. After the required equipment checks, inspect accessible areas for displacement or leakage and address the cause before returning the exchanger to normal operation.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Use the specified assembly sequence and compression conditions for the exchanger.
Custom dimensions
Ensure each locating feature is engaged and that the rubber has not crossed a passage or folded at a change in direction.
Fit & assembly
Remove the old gasket without damaging the seating area, and inspect that area before placing the new part.
Use & inspection
During replacement, follow the exchanger's service and isolation procedure.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
