Rubber seal rings occupy the interface between mating parts, where controlled compression helps close the gap around a joint. Custom sizes and material options allow the ring to be matched to the groove and the service medium. The correct choice depends on the complete sealing arrangement, including whether the surfaces remain stationary or move during operation.
Material selection comes before assuming a ring can serve in an oil application. The specific fluid, temperature, and exposure duration must suit the chosen compound; EPDM should not be treated as a universal substitute for an oil-compatible seal material. Ring dimensions also need to correspond to the groove so the rubber has space to deform without being excessively squeezed or left loose.
Before assembly, clean the mating surfaces and inspect the groove for damage. Avoid twisting the ring or dragging it over sharp threads. Tighten the joint in the sequence required by its design and check the completed assembly under its intended operating conditions. Replacing only the rubber will not correct a damaged or misaligned sealing surface.

Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
