Product Overview

Silicone single buttons provide individual flexible controls that can be customized for a product housing. The button's exposed shape, retaining geometry, and underside need to match the intended actuator or contact arrangement. Printed or molded legends can identify the function without requiring a complete multi-key sheet.

The case opening should let the button move without rubbing or trapping its edge. Beneath it, the actuator position determines when the press reaches the intended contact. Too little clearance can leave the control partly pressed after assembly, while excessive clearance can create unnecessary travel before actuation.

Consider how the button remains located when the housing is open and when it is closed. Retaining features should hold the part without constraining the flexible section needed for return. The final feel depends on the whole stack, including the underlying switch or circuit interface.

Check press and release in the assembled product, including off-center finger contact. Keep the underside clean during fitting and select surface markings around expected handling and cleaning. A molded rubber button is one component of the control; it does not alone establish an electrical switch rating, operating lifetime, or water resistance for the finished product.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Too little clearance can leave the control partly pressed after assembly, while excessive clearance can create unnecessary travel before actuation.
Custom dimensions
The button's exposed shape, retaining geometry, and underside need to match the intended actuator or contact arrangement.
Fit & assembly
Check press and release in the assembled product, including off-center finger contact.
Use & inspection
Keep the underside clean during fitting and select surface markings around expected handling and cleaning.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
