Rubber mounting feet form the contact points between a product and its supporting surface. Chairs, ladders, and cutting boards all need stable support, but their attachment geometry and operating conditions differ substantially. A foot selected for one of these products should not be assumed interchangeable with a similar-looking part on another.
For furniture, consider the leg section, fixing method, and floor contact. For a cutting board, the foot placement must also suit the board's underside and cleaning arrangement. Ladder feet require compatibility with the specific ladder and its intended setup; the rubber component alone cannot establish safe loading or stability.
Evaluate the complete set of feet on the finished product. Different seating depths or uneven compression can leave one support unloaded and introduce rocking. Check that fasteners or hard leg edges cannot reach the supporting surface as the rubber wears. Remove embedded grit during care, and replace damaged feet with parts that preserve the intended support geometry. A replacement that fits its fixing but changes the contact height can affect the whole assembly.
