Product Overview

A silicone anti slip bumper with adhesive backing provides a fixed rubber contact point on another part. Its location should follow the contact made by the finished assembly, rather than a convenient open patch on the mounting surface. Custom structure, material, dimensions, hardness and color allow the bumper to suit that arrangement.

Mark the intended contact position with the item assembled before the adhesive is exposed. Check whether a corner, lid or base reaches the bumper squarely, and leave the backing fully supported by the surface beneath it. A pad overlapping a recess can begin peeling even when its center appears firmly attached.

Select the adhesive for the substrate and the intended environment. Prepare the surface appropriately and seat the bumper without stretching the rubber or repeatedly lifting the adhesive to adjust its position. Evaluate the assembled item after the backing has been applied according to its requirements.

During use, distinguish movement at the rubber face from movement at the bond. A clean contact face may still slide on an unsuitable opposing surface, while a lifted adhesive edge indicates a separate mounting issue. Inspect both interfaces when the bumper no longer holds its position. Replace a contaminated or detached backing after restoring the mounting area, rather than relying on the same exposed adhesive to bond again.

Material options
Custom silicone formulation and color for the specified shape and working environment.
Hardness range
20–80 Shore A for silicone. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: Prepare the surface appropriately and seat the bumper without stretching the rubber or repeatedly lifting the adhesive to adjust its position.
Custom profile & fit
Check whether a corner, lid or base reaches the bumper squarely, and leave the backing fully supported by the surface beneath it.
Assembly considerations
Mark the intended contact position with the item assembled before the adhesive is exposed.
Design check
Evaluate the assembled item after the backing has been applied according to its requirements.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
