A silicone push rubber button keypad can be developed with different relationships to the switching components beneath it. In one arrangement, a conductive feature on the rubber forms part of the electrical contact. In another, the molded key acts on a separate switching element. The original product information distinguishes conductive and non-conductive designs, making this a useful starting point for defining the interface.

For a conductive version, specify the contact geometry and the electrical requirements used for evaluation.
