Small suction cups for glass tables should remain serviceable after the silicone rubber cups and their threaded screws are installed. The threaded screw may be hidden between the frame and glass, so plan how the contact is released and how the fixing is reached before selecting the mounting layout.
The cup and its receiving thread need compatible engagement. Leave room for the intended tool or fastening method rather than relying on turning the rubber against the glass. That action can twist the cup body and make it difficult to distinguish a loose fixing from a distorted sealing lip. A recessed mounting position also needs enough access to remove a worn cup without prying against the tabletop.
When assessing the furniture design, include a realistic replacement sequence. The glass should be supported through the procedure and returned to the frame's intended position afterward. Examine the receiving thread before installing a replacement; a new cup will not correct damaged mounting hardware. The complete table determines its support and retention requirements, so neither the small cup size nor its screw attachment should be assigned a general tabletop load capacity.
