A Spiral Vibration Damper is a custom rubber buffer for an assembly that needs a compliant interface. The spiral form identified for this product makes its working clearance important. The part must have room to change shape in the intended direction without catching against neighboring hardware or closing against an unintended obstruction.
Define the surfaces that locate the damper and the direction of the force it will receive. A profile intended to move along one direction may behave differently under a sideways load. Include the available gap around the rubber when selecting the custom size, and assess the material hardness with the complete mounting arrangement.
The listed options include several rubber families and a 30 to 90 Shore A hardness range. Those choices do not define a universal vibration reduction or load capacity. Evaluate the selected construction under the actual supported condition and expected movement. Look for contact concentrated on one ridge, rubbing beside the spiral profile or a section that cannot return freely. Keep the working spaces clear during maintenance, and replace a damaged buffer only after checking whether an adjacent component caused the damage.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Look for contact concentrated on one ridge, rubbing beside the spiral profile or a section that cannot return freely. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
