A square silicone grommet can be custom developed for a matching panel opening and passage. EPDM, NR, and NBR are alternative material choices to consider according to the actual environment. The compound should be selected with the required geometry rather than treated as an interchangeable label.
Define the side dimensions, corner radius, and panel-retaining groove. The center passage then needs to accommodate the cable or other intended component without pulling the outer profile out of its seat. Nearby structure should leave room behind the panel for complete retention.
Prepare the cutout and fit the grommet without cutting or folding its corners. Route the component through the intended assembly sequence and secure it with the required supports. During maintenance, inspect the passage and retained edge for wear or displacement. Keep material variants separated when they share the same shape. Use the specified compound and full square profile for replacement so that the original fit and environmental suitability remain consistent.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The center passage then needs to accommodate the cable or other intended component without pulling the outer profile out of its seat. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
