EPDM rubber thin gaskets provide custom sealing profiles for joints where the available gap is small. The outline should follow the intended contact path and the thickness should suit the secured position of the mating parts. Thin material leaves little room for a fold or misplaced edge to be absorbed during closure.
Position the gasket carefully before bringing the joint together. Any locating feature should hold it without pulling a section out of shape. Check that required passages remain open and the entire sealing band stays supported. Adding a second layer changes the assembly geometry and should not be used as an improvised correction for a poor fit.
The compound needs assessment for the actual medium and temperature at the joint. Before replacement, remove old residue and inspect the seat for damage. A repeated tear in the same area can indicate a sharp edge or closing misalignment. Preserve the specified profile and material, then assess the complete connection under its intended conditions rather than assuming a thin EPDM seal suits every application.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
