A custom rubber bumper for devices protection should place its working face where the device meets another surface. The mounting and exposed height need to suit that contact, whether the part acts as a foot or a bumper. Define the intended action before selecting the profile and finished compound.
Check the complete device in use. A protective part that sits too low may allow a hard edge to contact first, while one too high can change support or interfere with nearby hardware. Review the approach direction and any movement that pulls the rubber sideways.
Evaluate the protection provided by the assembled arrangement rather than treating molded rubber as a hydraulic stopping device. During maintenance, inspect for cuts, persistent flattening and movement at the attachment. Keep grit out of the contact region and clean mating surfaces before replacement. If damage recurs in one area, correct the contact position or surrounding edge before fitting another bumper. The replacement should restore the intended geometry at the point being protected.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. A protective part that sits too low may allow a hard edge to contact first, while one too high can change support or interfere with nearby hardware. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
