Buna-N seal caps can be custom molded around a pipe end or another matching closure interface. The compound should suit the actual medium and temperature, while the internal shape needs to follow the surface that retains the cap. Diameter and engagement length should be considered together.
Check the end for a shoulder, lip, or change in section that affects how far the cap can travel. A cover may grip at the entrance yet stop before reaching its intended seat. Leave enough accessible material for removal if the opening is used during servicing.
Clean the mating area and examine its edge before fitting. Seat the cap evenly without turning its mouth inward. Water-related or pressure service must be established for the complete pipe assembly rather than inferred from the flexible cap alone. During maintenance, inspect the contact section for swelling, cuts, or permanent distortion. Select a replacement with the required compound and internal profile so that it reproduces both the seated position and the intended engagement on the pipe.

Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
