Product Overview
A water seal rubber grommet can form a fitted entry around wiring, with EPDM available for the selected version. The rubber should contact the panel and wire or cable profile in the intended way. Structure, dimensions, hardness and color are customizable for that interface.
Inspect the crossing point for wrapping overlaps, labels or other local changes in the cable surface. These can alter the contact even when the average bundle diameter matches the opening. Plan the entry around the final harness construction and avoid positioning a loose wrapping edge across a sealing region.
The EPDM formulation should suit the actual environment, including the cleaning substances and temperatures encountered at the entry. Evaluate water exclusion with the finished cable route, not only with an unconnected sample lying straight through the hole. During fitting, keep the contact surfaces clean and check the retaining edge for full engagement. Reinspect after harness adjustments, because moving a wrapped section into the grommet can change the interface. Select a replacement by the full profile and compound rather than its outside color alone.
